Add captions to items

Adding captions to items – like images, charts or tables – is a great way to offer more context for readers of your documents.

To do this, right-click on the item, choose ‘Insert caption’, then type the main text into the ‘Caption:’ box ( in our screenshot below). In our example, we typed ‘Three penguins if it’s an image, but you can also choose Table or Equation. Now set the position to below or above the selected item .
