‘Dad bought me my first digital camera’

Amber Leach, 41, is a wedding photographer and lives in Plymouth with her husband, Jesse, 36, and their children Liberty, 14, and Ruah, three.

My father took photos for a living, and so I was obsessed with taking pictures when I was at school, and took my camera everywhere. Both my dad, Alan, 72, and my granddad, Charlie, were wedding and portrait photographers, but it always seemed very traditional and wasn’t really my cup of tea as a career. The only other option was fashion photography and that wasn’t me, so I lost interest.
