The Welsh Government is about to swap all 30mph speed limits to 20mph. It will implement a blanket change on September 17, 2023. The legislation provides for ‘exceptions’ where a road is ‘not suitable’ for 20mph. An exception is, however, an exception and I predict they will be like unicorns – mythical, or at least really hard to find.
