CAGE & Aviary Birds: How did you get into birds?
Mike Fox: For me, the obsession started at six years old, with two wallpaper-strippers (budgies), then a zebra finch and diamond dove, all in my parents’ kitchen. A neighbour of mine kept racing pigeons. It fascinated me how they flew in a flock and actually came back! This led me to keep Birmingham roller pigeons.
