MOST OF MY mixed collection are Australian parakeets and in their native land, they are used to dry conditions and often do not breed until rain falls. In this country with our maritime weather, we have rain most weeks during spring and, therefore, our birds thrive and breed well unless it is too cold.
Certainly, this spring has given us a considerable variety of weather. In southern England, we have experienced thunderstorms, high winds, cold mornings, bright dry days, plentyunexpected and directly overhead. Only time will tell how much damage that did to the eggs being incubated, my guess is quite a significant amount.
