My story
After living in our two-bed terrace for a while, we wanted something slightly bigger. My heart was set on just a few nearby streets so it was quite a narrow search area. I'd seen this 1930s semi online but had skipped past it because it didn't have much kerb appeal. However, the estate agent persuaded me to view it and I fell in love. It looked much better in real life - the pictures didn't do it justice - and luckily Adam loved it just as much as me.
We've gradually made cosmetic changes room by room. Luckily, the bathroom and kitchen didn't need ripping out, so we've just revamped these rooms on a budget. We also spent around £2,000 creating a downstairs toilet under the stairs. It was previously a coal house that was accessed from the outside, so it's been money well spent.
I'd describe my style as -neutral with pops of colour and a few rustic farmhouse vibes. I've always loved pink, but I've definitely become braver about introducing
