KATE GRIMES

Kate Grimes is ready for her next transition.

For the Arizona State University senior, it’s a transition back to the upper Midwest, where she grew up and went to high school. But she’s not quite the same person who left the Detroit area in August 2019 for sunny Tempe and ASU to study nursing — and later biological sciences.

Now, Kate is a full-fledged adult preparing to take on a career position as a medical laboratory technologist at the Mayo Clinic’s Medical Laboratory Science Program in Rochester, Minnesota, once she graduates in May.

It’s a role she hopes will put her on track to her dream job.
