LETTER OF THE WEEK

There’s a new cub in town

In Mike Swan’s recent piece (The new cub in town, 26 April), you show a fox on a doormat. We have a similar visitor that stays out of the summer heat at our front door (right).

This is floor-high, but it has no problem walking up the stairs — anything for a good afternoon nap. We do not like them in the quail fields, but around the house they are quite useful at keeping the snakes and raccoons and such at bay.
