Sandra Fitch loves adventures and antiques. As a child, she explored Los Angeles' secondhand shops with her mother, her imagination captivated by curiosities that had crisscrossed the country. At age 10, she purchased her first old-time piece, a primitive rope bed. As a high schooler, her vintage jewelry collection was all the rage. And at age 22, she put a pie safe on layaway. Youthful pursuits tend to wane over time, but Sandra's strong attachment to artifacts from yesteryear continues today. “When I go antiques shopping with my sisters and friends, we have a rule. Whoever touches it first gets it,” she laughs.
When Sandra married Tim Fitch 41 years ago, she graduated from treasure hunting to renovating homes in Southern California. “We like old and vintage. It's got
