HOME in the HOLLOW

Majestic mountains, verdant valleys and family fondness teamed together to draw Nina and Larry Hurt to Hazard, Kentucky. In 2006, the couple bid farewell to Ohio and bought a ranch-style home nestled on a 33-acre parcel that Larry's mother acquired nearly a century ago. The new chapter allowed the couple to retire and reconnect with their extended family who also call the hollow home.

Nina credits her sister with fostering her penchant for primitives. When Nina helped her sister move from Texas to Ohio, she studied her sister's country collections and was bitten by the antiques bug. Once Nina was settled in the South, her interests deepened and the first-time homeowner was determined.”
