UK supports organic

The United Kingdom supports farming that benefits the environment via Countryside Stewardship.

Payments for organic farming rose by between 46 and 500 percent for those in the scheme and has been boosted by an agreement that will run for a further five years.

Support is available for nature-friendly practices that are in harmony with organic principles, such as avoiding insecticides and protecting soils, but the increase for fully organic is significantly above the average increase of 10 percent.
