Altered Carbon (TV series)
“Joel Kinnaman aside, the idea where hundreds of years from now, the fallible mortality of humanity is overcome by uploading one’s consciousness into a singular disc and stored on a satellite. With the onset of the Information Age and how we store our metadata on the internet as well as electronic devices, Altered Carbon presents a stark possibility of where human innovation can take us and how far it can go if left unchecked.”

Love, Death + Robots (TV series)
“I’m not one for dystopian TV shows and films. Call because they present the “life after humans” aspect in a way that is digestible and not too jarring to take in. Most importantly, it’s animated! Each episode also covers the different moral issues within our society and ways in which the planet has succumbed to humanity. The different characters also have contrasting personalities, so the satire is delivered in varying tones, which also adds to the show’s identity. For those who prefer a lighter and easier-to-watch dystopian film, this show is as painless on the mind and heart as it gets! Depending on the episode of course.”
