Beauty products can no longer be promoted on social media using misleading filters, thanks to Sasha Pallari. The campaigner, make-up artist and influencer says we can all help others feel beautiful in their own skin
It all started on a quiet Friday night in June 2020 when I posted a story on Instagram asking people to share their unfiltered selfies. I’m a make-up artist by profession, so my feed is often full of beauty looks, but – and especially after spending more time than usual on my phone during lockdown – I noticed that I hardly ever saw photos showing real skin. Everyone was filtering their pictures
