An update on the use of feeders

IT USED to be quite popular to use “feeders”, but rarely do you hear of anyone using them extensively to breed budgerigars.

For those who are unsure what feeders are all about, perhaps we should explain. It's about putting pairs together of lesser quality and allowing them to rear the chicks from the best pairs. They can be used in several ways. You can discard the eggs from the lesser-quality pairs and replace them with eggs from the best pairs. Or you might just hope that the feeders
