How I work with Borders
WHEN each breeding season approaches, we canary fanciers are full of excitement, but equally apprehensive about what follows. Regardless of how well our birds do through the breeding season in terms of eggs hatched, there is no guarantee of what our final numbers of young will be until they have successfully come through the moult. Then we start to show them and that brings even more challenges.
In order to ensure my birds are fit and healthy, with the best chance of making the show bench, I have developed a regular régime that works well for me and my birds.
I try to keep everything simple. I feed the parents a high-quality canary breeder’s mix all year round and supplement this with a softfood mix, water additives and regular treatments
