VAGINAL BLEEDING

Vaginal bleeding is not normal in pregnancy. It could be a life-threatening condition or perhaps of a less serious nature. It's important that you check with your caregiver, especially if you are feeling pain and rigidity in the abdomen as well.

Early on (before 26 weeks), bleeding could indicate an ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy outside the womb) or a miscarriage.

Miscarriage could occur as a result of an infection, uterine abnormality, rhesus incompatibility or a medical condition.
