Q What do we call a vaginal discharge?

A A vaginal discharge is any fluid or mucus that is passed vaginally. This may be normal or abnormal. Generally, vaginal discharge is made up of cervical secretions, cells, sweat and glandular secretions.

Q A physiological discharge is something different, right?

A physiological discharge is normal and occurs in all of us. The amount, type, consistency and colour differ from time to time and from person to person. It's dependant on hormones and therefore changes during the menstrual cycle and pregnancy. A good example is the way your discharge changes around the time
