I'm reading the article on cleaning the barrel ( issue 170). As you know, some barrels perform very well when cleaned once in a while. My Steyr 100 had to be cleaned every other shoot, while my EV2 is good for half a tin. Different pellets made from other materials will be the cause. I use AA Field and the lead seems a little softer, but keeps the barrel
