HNRC shuffles its shunter fleet

THE highlight of a busy period for Harry Needle Railroad Company (HNRC) was the return to service of No. 08799 after more than a year undergoing overhaul and repairs.

The beginning of February saw it rolled out of the company’s workshops at Barrow Hill, finished in all-over orange and adorned with the nameplates that previously graced No. 20096. February 14 duly saw it moved by road to Worksop to assume yard pilot duties. The ‘08’ has been fitted with GSM-R and On-Train Monitoring Recorders (OTMR) as well as Train Protection Warning System
