Beat / Let us hear why you built and set up your studio the way you did.
Ron with Leeds / First and foremost, we have completely focused on the room mode and the associated acoustics. In order to be able to work and mix adequately, clean acoustics play an immensely important role from our point of view. Secondarily, but not completely unimportant for us, was the visual aspect. It‘s not unusual for us to spend entire days in the studio, so we wanted to feel comfortable. Ceiling spots, colored LED strips embedded in the wall and many decorative accessories, gig souvenirs and fan gifts provide the warm feel-good factor.
Beat / What tips can you give our readers, what traps should you avoid falling into (when building studios or gear in general)?
/ From our point of view, it certainly depends on how serious you are about production. If it is a pure hobby that should be fun, you can do without expensive acoustic elements and such equipment without hesitation or just reduce them to a minimum.don‘t have the necessary money for the appropriate acoustic panels, you can also fall back on now quite affordable headphones, which are specially designed for detailed monitoring.
