Briony Benjamin is only 36 years old, but already she has been through more ups and downs on the roller coaster of life than most will ever experience. That’s because in December 2017, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. For Briony, the cancer was so far advanced it had spread to her bones and she was riddled with the disease.
“It changed my life forever,” she tells WHO, remembering the day she was called back to the specialist to get her blood test results. “She told me I had blood cancer. I was devastated.”
Until then, Briony had always followed a healthy regimen and a packed schedule.
