Almost six months into their roles as Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate received a warm welcome to the country on the eve of St David’s Day
Wearing daffodils pinned to their lapels for a day of engagements in South Wales, the royal couple were greeted by flag-waving crowds, many in national dress.
Among them was four-month-old Lola-Mae Rowlands, whose mother Jessica had dressed her in traditional Welsh costume to greet Kate outside Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre in Port Talbot.
Jessica said: “She thanked me for coming and standing out in the cold to see her and Prince William.
“She loved Lola-Mae’s costume and wanted to know if she was sleeping and eating well.”
