Spring has sprung

THE DIVERSITY OF COLOURS and shapes found in nature attracts me. If we pay attention to any flower bouquet we will see buds, flowers blooming and also some faded flowers. It’s like our life cycle: the stages of the life of flowers hold a symbolic meaning for me.

My painting style is intuitive; I like to portray a light effect or just a play between hard and soft edges. I work wet-on-wet so timing is very important. When we talk about hard and soft edges in watercolour, we are considering the power of suggestion: any well-balanced composition in terms of hard and soft edges will stimulate the viewer’s imagination.
