With the aim of achieving these ambitious goals, the honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and his key ministers have been engaging with leading private sector companies and global conglomerates through investor meets across India. This drive will culminate in the "Global Investors Summit 2023" on March 3rd and 4th at Visakhapatnam.
Andhra Pradesh is India’s gateway to the southeast with its 974 km long coastline. It has also emerged as the fastest-growing state in India, as per the number released so far, with double-digit growth of 11.43% in 2021-22. The state has embarked on arapid growth path under the able leadership of Shri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, its honourable Chief Minister. Thanks to the governance reforms and formulation of investor-friendly policies by the government, the state has emerged on top in terms of ease of doing business for three consecutive years since 2019, particularly significant since this survey was based on stakeholders' feedback. This was achieved by reengineering five acts under labour laws and repealing 26 obsolete acts administered by revenues and other departments besides other investor and industry friendly initiatives. With this effective overhaul of the administrative processes average time to start a business is reduced to 21 days.
During the curtain raiser event on January 31, 2023, the Honorable Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "We are here to provide you a platform, an experience that shall be unlike any other that you have come across. The Honorable Prime Minister has shown us the way in taking India to newer heights and, within India, Andhra Pradesh is an exciting geography-the fastest growing state with 11.43%
