Cost pressures continue to weigh on livestock markets

During January, the prices of beef, mutton and pork eased, while those of chicken were marginally higher. However, increases in the frequency and intensity of rolling blackouts are placing cost pressures on the meat sector as a whole, and intensive livestock production in particular.
