Do you remember your 30th birthday? I can’t remember what I did – I had a huge party for my 28th instead, just to be different! But this month, and for all of this year, we’re celebrating turning 30. The UK edition launched with the March issue, so must have gone on sale in February. It’s no small feat either as many magazines – ones I used to love – have fallen by the wayside. So reaching 30 is truly something to celebrate. It’s been fascinating to look back at that first issue and the topics covered: stress, cellulite, ageing, back pain, insomnia – things we still write about. Clearly these issues affect each new generation. And yet the magazine was also different, not only in terms of design but by covering men’s and children’s health, and focusing quite a bit on sex!
