CANARIES

SINCE Christmas, I have been cleaning and rearranging my birdroom. That included installing some new insulation before repainting. I also hand-washed every bird prior to commencing mite treatments as the birds entered the new year.

It always make me smile when I see Facebook posts about breeders “deep-cleaning” their bird cages. Nobody ever talks about deep-cleaning their birds as well, just the cages! I also deep-clean my grandchildren; it's called baths and showers, and they are generally happy to oblige. They are much better for it afterwards, and it's the same with the canaries!
