WITH the threat of bird flu, APHA on speed dial and many shows cancelled, it was with great relief drat on November 20 2022 the club forged ahead with the show. As with last year, the staging was transported front storage in Portknockie to the Cullen Bowling and Tennis Club. After last year's fiasco with reversing the trailer, Lewis was taking no chances! The staging was transported in a big van on Friday afternoon.

Saturday morning at 9am, fanciers met at tire Bowling Club after a bit of panic when the local stores were out of stock of Cullen skink. After a lookfurdier afield, I managed to get the last four in stock, writes Sandy Hay.

As with last year, the first tiring was to check the hall floor for nicks and chips (the club got hit with a bill the previous year). All being well, we had the staging up in 45 minutes. Everyone agreed to meet back at the hall for 6pm to greet fanciers who had arranged to arrive before 8pm. Donnie Bain
