LANCASHIRE BB&HC the Lancashire British Bird & Hybrid Club staged the first ‘All British’ show of the season on November 21 at Leigh Masonic Hall. Officials anticipated an increase in entries and were pleased to stage almost 500 birds, which bodes well for the future. Two extra judges were engaged to speed up the awards process.

Fanciers travelled from Inverness in the north, to Devon in the south. On arrival, every exhibitor was given a free cup of coffee or tea and then entered a free prize draw for This was kindly donated by club president Peter German. The winner was Shimmy Akhtar who exhibited some outstanding owner-bred s and cinnamon greenfinches.
