Give your home a good scrub to keep illness-causing germs at bay. For an easy, natural drain cleaner, pour ½ cup of baking soda followed by ½ cup vinegar into the drain and wait for a few minutes. Then, add 1 cup of water and leave for a further five minutes before using.

2. OUT WITH THE OLD …

... and in with the new! If you haven’t worn something in a year, it’s time to part ways. Donate these clothes to a charitable organisation and help someone who needs your clothes more than you do.

3. SORT YOUR BEAUTY DRAWERS

As a general rule of thumb, most beauty products should be replaced every year, but mascara needs to be binned after three months. Some products will have a symbol that tells you how many months the product will last for after it’s opened or state a best-before date.
