HOW TO GO RACING FOR £13,500

We are often reminded that motorsport is not cheap. But some of it is definitely cheaper than other parts. And this much was demonstrated by the 750 Motor Club’s Toyota MR2 championship at the recent Autosport International.

On 750MC’s stand one of its MR2s was on display, with it proudly proclaimed across the windscreen that you can go racing in 2023 for the princely up-front all-in payment of £13,500.

It’s part of the club’s Foundation Programme, which offers a fully built race car and first-season costs for a single all-inclusive price. MR2 joins it for 2023, its offer launched at ASI.

And on top of it all, the car is yours. Patrick Mortell, the MR2 championship’s coordinator plus the head of MR2-specialist Rogue Motorsport that provides the car, told Motorsport of the season, it’s literally your car.’”
