WorldSBK rookie Remy Gardner completed two two-day tests in Europe before heading to Phillip Island for the 2023 championship curtain-raiser next weekend. Inside the top-10 on his very first outing aboard the GYTR GRT Yamaha YZF-R1 on the opening day at Jerez, it was a more impressive showing than it may seem given the young Aussie’s recent experience riding only prototype machinery and on very different tyres.
