LEAVING very early, we began the six-hour journey northeast of Windhoek to the bushveld region east of Grootfontein, an area I had visited only once before, in search of eland. I’d had no success the first time, and hoped this time it would turn out differently.
On our arrival at Elandpro Safaris, the Breedts of the farm Mooilaagte greeted us, and after a lunch of braaied boerewors, we visited the shooting range to check our scopes before heading into the bush.
