Being a first-time parent is equal parts awesome and terrifying. If you've lived the “bike life” for much of your existence, the change that hits when your first child enters the world can take some adjustment. It's safe to say the combination of a child, partner and full-time job doesn't leave a lot of opportunity for a time-consuming, (at times all-consuming) sport like mountain biking, especially if you don't have easy access to decent trails.
