ORGANISING THE NATIONAL

Often, we only see the culmination of people’s efforts to put on a show or road run. But much work and preparation must go into it beforehand to ensure everything runs smoothly. Here, we gain some insights into the NVTRR 2022 through the eyes of those directly involved. These included Dave King, treasurer; Wayne Griffiths, host for 2022; committee member Ryan Griffiths, Rhiannon Griffiths who compiled the thoughts of Wayne and husband Ryan on the event; and last but not least, Ashley Godsall, co-founder of the NVTRR.

Committee member’s view

Dave King recalls someone commenting that hosting the NVTRR wouldn’t differ greatly from what they were used to. “Well, in a way, it is very different,” says Dave. “Much more intense, with a greater degree of management required. Very different from the Annual club run with 40 or 50 tractors.
