    INSIDE THE MOST IMPORTANT WELSH RALLY IN DECADES

    In a normal year, the 200-mile challenge of Wales Rally GB would undoubtedly be the most important forest rally to take place in Wales. But of course 2020 is no normal year, so instead the 30-mile blast of the RaliAdfer Coedwigoedd Cymru (Welsh Forest Restoration Rally to you and I) took over that mantle but for a very different reason. This rally wasn’t laid on for the world’s greatest rally drivers but, quite simply, to safeguard the entire existence of rallying in Wales.

    Here’s the headline statistic: 308 days had passed since the last car crossed the finish-line of the Cambrian Rally in February until the first car left the startline in Denbighshire on Saturday, December 12. For a country that’s used to hosting multiple forest rallies
