Back in 2014 on our welcome page, I said: “Looking back through old literature and farming magazines is a good reminder that farming heritage is about the ‘whole thing’. By that I mean not just tractors, combines and other major items of machinery that have been developed over the years. Innovation and labour-saving ideas can be seen on every page from the past, from hand tools through to implements and farm transport.”
So now it looks like Tractor & Farming Heritage magazine is to be consigned to that realm, as this issue marks the end of just over 20 years of its publication.
With that in mind, it’s time for me to get out those rose-tinted glasses one last time, thumb through the old magazines and recall some of the happy memories they hold for me.
