Having recently moved to this inner-Sydney property, the owners were eager to breathe life into their outdoor spaces. In particular, the rooftop terrace, which extends off the living area and doubles as a passage between the main residence and guesthouse, was screaming for change. With wall-to-wall concrete, it felt cold, sterile and didn’t contain any elements to draw people into the space. Typical of many inner-city gardens, it also lacked privacy from neighbouring homes.
