Her bones were like HONEYCOMB

Flying through the air, my daughter Willow, then eight, did a cartwheel followed by the splits.

She was performing in an aerobic gymnastics competition. Her favourite sport, it combined dance with gymnastics skills.

‘Well done, Willow,’ I said, as she clutched her gold medal afterwards.

‘Thanks Mum,’ she beamed.

Willow had only just taken up the sport, but showed an obvious talent for it, winning trophy after trophy.

But then she began getting pains in her left ankle and knee.

‘My leg feels so weak, Mum,’ she said.
