Weather conditions

Ever noticed how much the weather alters our surroundings – and by association our mood?

Subtle descriptions of atmosphere, colour, light and shade can all make an impact in our writing. I know writers who definitely admit to finding it easier dragging that much-needed descriptive passage out of the wood when the weather matches the passage they’re writing.

Unfortunately, as writers we often have no option but to forge ahead regardless of mood; our output depends on it. Waiting for the right show of colour in the day outside is not always the best option
