Let’s begin by veering away from tradition and looking at horror set in summery conditions – the sun is high in the sky, the thermometers are climbing and electric fans are appearing and just as quickly disappearing from shops. You might think that would be more of a set up for a romance novel, but there are ways you can make it horrific.
