DURING A RECENT quarterly check-in with my psychiatrist, Adam, he was asking about any side effects of the meds that I'm on. It's pretty routine for us, but he needs to check if I've lost or gained weight, if I'm sleeping okay or have any unexplained rashes.

“Sleep's tough because we have a toddler who's still figuring out his big bed, I've got a bit of a dry mouth from the new meds but otherwise it's all good.”

“Any sexual side effects?”

This is an important question as I've had sexual side effects from meds before. When I was on the antipsychotics, while they did save my life (good times) they also temporarily neutered my testosterone (not so good times). Thankfully my current SSRIs don't affect that part
