Bend ’em, shake ’em
Over the weekend of 4-5 December my father and I headed to The Bend Motorsport Park from Victoria for a rideday. It was superbly run by Champions Ride Days – hats off to them, nothing short of brilliant.
The facilities at The Bend – with a hotel, restaurant and bar located above the pits – were first class. A massive thank you to the track owners for creating a rev-head nirvana.
As the old bloke and I were packing up, we mused about the state of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit which hasn’t had any meaningful upgrade to the facilities in the decade and a half I’ve been going there.
I’d love to see Lindsay Fox put some cash into the PI complex so it has facilities to match the South Australian track which is, without doubt, Australia’s best.
