HANDS DEEPS, WHITING GROUNDS AND THE RANNEYS

The Hands Deeps is, as its name suggests, a reef in deep water off south Cornwall. A trio of pinnacles rise as great spires of rock to within 50ft of the surface in a depth of 170ft at low water springs. The glorious reef is eight-and-a-half miles south of Penlee Point and much rated for big pollack which will be on the sheltered side of the pinnacles, principally during the spring tide.
