THE BEATLES will reign supreme forever! It’s a reassuring fact which serves as a rock to which we Brits can cling in the cruel sea of a world turned upside-down.
But is it actually true?
If recent commercial successes are anything to go by – like the remixed, remastered and reimagined 20-disc box-set of Revolver, or Take It Back, director Peter Jackson’s 72-hour documentary about The Beatles and their love of cigarettes – then it would appear to be incontrovertible.
