was back in April 1982 that Phil Yardley and Paul Richards took the plunge and turned their passion for two wheels into a business. The motivation behind their decision was simple: they were fed up of receiving bad treatment from the bike dealers of the time. Initially the business operated as QB Bike Spares, out of a small shop on High Street in the Quarry Bank area of the West Midlands, hence the ‘QB’ in their name.
