Power napping

We’ve all experienced the afternoon slump, when heavy eyelids make grabbing 40 winks oh-so tempting. Perhaps your previous night’s slumber was disrupted by restless legs or night sweats, or an evening out meant you didn’t hit the hay early enough. Either way, it’s normal to feel the need for a daytime power-up occasionally. But what goes on when we nap – and does a Sunday afternoon snooze ever do any harm?
