10 Questions With ... Josh Laurent

STAUNTON, Ill. Josh Laurent knew he and his wife Candice were going to have a big job on their hands. In that regard, they certainly haven’t been disappointed.

Back in August, the couple purchased Country Classic Cars from the original owners, Russ and Anita Noel, who decided to retire and drive off into the sunset after operating the well-known southern Illinois dealership for 23 years. The sprawling business has not only become a landmark for travelers rolling by on the adjacent interstate, but it has also been a jumbo-sized shopping mall of sorts for enthusiasts looking for fixer-uppers and project cars.

The Laurents have been plenty busy recently as they set about modernizing and re-tooling the business. We recently got Josh on the line for our “10 Questions” treatment.
