Stan: You chair the BSRA committee Tony, what does that involve?

Tony: (Laughs) Not very much really, I think there’s a misconception about the committee and how it works.

S: Enlighten me.

T: You published a history of the meeting a few issues ago and the reason for it existing hasn’t really changed since those early days; to discuss and agree National dates for the following year. Part of our process is to try and make sure there are no clashes with any other large events and to act as support to one another.

The members represent the clubs organising Nationals and other major rallies such as Mersea, also sitting as members are the big owners’ clubs, LCGB and VCGB and the main scootering media outlets. Due to logistics, we only meet once a year, most of the work is done by
