10-minute CANAPES

CROSTINI

Simple to make and with a variety of toppings to choose from, crostini are a speedy canapé essential. This will be enough for all three toppings below.

MAKES 48 PREP 5 MINS COOK 10 MINS

2 skinny baguettes, cut into 1.5cm slices

3tbsp olive oil

Heat the oven to 200C Fan/Gas 7. Put the slices on a baking tray, drizzle with the oil and season. Cook for 10 mins until they are golden and crisp.

SWEET CHILLI FIG

Think sweet and savoury, with a warming kick of chilli heat.

MAKES 16 PREP 10 MINS

65g cream cheese

80g soft goat’s cheese

1tbsp chilli jam

16 crostini

2 figs, each cut into 8 wedges, or fig chutney

Runny honey, to drizzle

Roughly combine the cream cheese, goat’s cheese and chilli jam, and season. Spread the mixture over
